Balangir: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah said his party would win more than 120 MLA seats out of total 147 assembly segments in Odisha in 2019 and form government in the state, while addressing a ‘Mahasamavesh’ here on Thursday.
The saffron leader also criticised the Naveen Government for not working for the welfare of people in the state even after 18 years of its rule.
“If a government, which has been ruling the state for last 18 years, cannot at least provide drinking water to the people of the state, then it has no right to stay in power,” Shah pointed out.
“Earlier on the day, I visited Saintala village in the district, and I was shocked to see that villagers are compelled to drink fluoride contaminated water, which results in kidney ailments, crippling bone diseases and induces early ageing in the young,” the saffron leader claimed.
Today, the BJP President had lunch with a Dalit family in Deogaon village of the district. He was accompanied by Union Minister Jual Oram, BJP Legislative Party leader Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo , BJP state unit chief Basant Panda and some senior leaders during their lunch at the house of Maheswar Suna .
