Bhubaneswar: The opposition parties – Congress and BJP – have decided to corner the ruling BJD party on number of issues during the Monsoon Session of Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) which is beginning from tomorrow (September 4).

Congress, the grand-old party, has chalked the strategies like the problems of farmers, teachers, “PC” (percentage commission), unemployment and drinking water to attack the BJD government.

Likewise, the saffron party has finalized to raise several issues like irregularity in the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Odisha government’s decision not to implement the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in state and not to organise Palli Sabha during the Amo Gaon Amo Bikas programme.

On the other hand, the state ruling BJD has decided to raise Centre’s negligence towards Odisha. This was informed by Odisha CM and BJD supremo Naveen Patnik this evening.

Speaking to the newsmen after chairing the meeting of his legislators, Patnaik said that BJD is ready to discuss on every issue the opposition parties may raise during the Monsoon Session.

The state ruling party has also decided to raise different issues like Mahanadi water dispute, Polavaram and fuel price hike and so on to counter the opposition.

With both the opposition parties and the ruling party ready with their own strategies, the Monsoon Session is expected to start on a stormy note.
