Bhubaneswar: BJD will raise several issues including increase in banking and telecommunication coverage in Odisha as well as expansion of National Highways in the state in the upcoming Parliament session.
The nearly month-long winter session of Parliament will begin on Monday.
Addressing mediapersons, BJD National Spokesperson Sasmit Patra said that the party will also demand to include atleast two tourist places of Odisha among the 17 identified Iconic Tourist Sites by the Centre.
“ The other issues which will be raised our party includes direct international flight between Bhubaneswar and Dubai, recognition of Bali Jatra as National Maritime Heritage Festival, income tax exemption for District Mineral Fund (DMF) and rollback of CBSE fees hike,” said Patra.
Besides the party will also raise other issues of introduction and passing of Women’s Reservation Bill, pending PDS subsidy payable to Odisha by the Centre and reformulation of Polavaram project as per Godavari Water Disputes Tribunal.
