BJD to launch ‘Ghare Ghare Sankha’ campaign from March 5

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) will kick-start ‘Ghare Ghare Sankha : Matamata Diyanti Apana, Palana Karanti Naveen’ (Conch in each and every households: Naveen acts upon your opinions)  campaign from March 5 with a view to collect feedback from voters to prepare its manifesto for upcoming  polls, said party spokesman and Nayagarh MLA Arun Sahoo on Monday. Conch is the symbol of the ruling BJD

March 5 happens to be the birth anniversary of legendary leader Biju Patnaik, after whom the BJD has been named. Conch is the symbol of the ruling BJD.

Briefing media persons at BJD party office here, Sahoo said, “BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will kick start the  “Ghare Ghare Sankha: Matamata Diyanti Apana, Palana Karanti Naveen’ campaign from March 5,

“The campaign will reach out to around 86 lakh households across the state to collect their opinions as to prepare the manifesto of the Naveen Patnaik led ruling party for the 2019 Lok Sabha and Assembly polls,” he added.

The responsibility to make this campaign success will primarily rest on the Biju Mahila Janata Dal (BMJD), Sahoo said.

BMJD president Minati Behera, party spokespersons Sasmit Patra and Bijay Nayak were also present on the occasion.
