BJD to gherao Central Govt Offices for 3 days

Bhubaneswar: As the BJP youth wing had declared to lock up all employment exchange offices in Odisha on November 5 protesting the mounting unemployment among educated youth, the ruling the BJD on Saturday announced that it would gherao all central government offices in the state for three days to counter the saffron party.

Briefing media persons, BJD General Secretary Sanjay Das Burma today said that the Biju Yuva Janata Dal (BYJD), the youth wing of the ruling party and its students’ outfit Biju Chhatra Janata Dal will stage demonstrations in front of central government offices on November 5, 6 and 8.

“The assurance of the BJP-led NDA government to create employment opportunity for 2 crore people every year has become a farce. Due to demonetization, there is scarce employment opportunity in the country while lakhs of people have lost their job,” Das Burma said.

“The central government has also failed to come up with an industrial corridor in Odisha in the past four-and-a-half years,” he added.

We demand the Modi government to provide employment opportunities to the youths of our state, the BJD leader stated.
