BJD Protests To Imposition Of Hindi By AIIMS, Bhubaneswar On People Of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The government of Odisha opposed to the imposed use of Hindi language on the people of Odisha by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar.

In an office order signed by AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Deputy Director P K Ray on Thursday asked officials in the administration and the heads of departments to use Hindi. 

This was done adhering to the provisions of the Official Language Rules, 1976.

BJD leader Pinaki Mishra tweeted his displeasure and said, “We will insist on Odiya being used since our people are familiar with it and that will make their task of availing service at AIIMS easier, we will formally lodge a protest with the Ministry of Health and ask for a change in this directive.”

    Deputy director administration Mr PK Ray should understand that imposition of such terms are not only unacceptable but also impractical. We should keep our eyes open when implementing laws and regulations, which he has failed to do on many occasions. Such a disgraceful order goes against the very basic tenets of our constitution which guarantees equality in diversity.
    I suggest he should accept the blunder committee and resign on moral grounds.

    I I first of congratulate to the BJD party.that first time the odiya language is given utmost priority.hindi I feel the subject in our school should be dropped to lesson the students burden. Remember we gain nothing by learning hindi.we should learn only odiya and english.we accept everything easily.why we thing hindi is a n important language..I seen some of high official of industrial sector high lights the important of our mother tongue.i feel proud for them.after few years u find odiya and odiya language is vanished.y may be aware of Sambalpur history.they paved the path for us.

    Firstly pinakiji should correct the spelling of ‘odia’ instead of ‘odiya’.
