Bhubaneswar: Thousands of BJD members from Jagatsinghpur district on Tuesday approached party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas here demanding disciplinary action against veteran party leader and former minister Damodar Rout for his alleged anti-party activities.
“I have received complaints against Damodar Rout, ” Naveen Patnaik said.”I will look into the matter and take appropriate action.”
Yesterday, Jagatsinghpur district BJD president Bishnu Charan Das and party MLA from Balikuda-Erasama constituency Prashant Kumar Muduli submitted separate written complaints alleging that Rout is working to weaken the BJD in the area.
