Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJD today appointed Jajpur legislator Pranab Prakash Das as General Secretary (organisation) while senior leader Sanjay Das Burma was appointed as Gen Secretary (Head Quarter).
Similarly Aul MLA, Pratap Keshari Deb was also appointed as the State Returning Officer of the party.
BJD sources said that the posts of General Secretary (Organisation) and General Secretary (Head Quarter) were formed for the first time to exclusively deal with the organizational affairs.
Pranab Prakash Das the third time MLA from Jajpur immensely enjoys Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s trust even if he has not been made a Minister in the state cabinet. Das also played a key role in huge win of BJD candidate in the recently conclude Bijepur by poll.
