BJB Girl Student Death Case: No sign of ragging found so far, says DCP

Bhubaneswar: In the BJB girl student Ruchika Mohanty suicide case so far no clues regarding ragging has been found, Police said. Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh informed about it in a presser today in the capital city of Odisha.

As per reports, the investigation of the said case is underway and Police have interrogated the deceased student’s classmates. Also, her family members and relatives have been interrogated. However, no facts have been received regarding ragging, informed the DCP.

The students of BJB have been interrogated regarding ragging of the deceased. All data have been collected from the mobile phone of Ruchika. Yet, there is not much got. Hence, her mobile has been sent to Singapore. Help of psychiatrists is also being taken. Yet, no fact has been found regarding ragging. Three teams have been formed for the investigation. Police are probing as per the gravity of the case, informed Singh.

Although 11 days have passed, still nothing solid has been found yet regarding the suicide of the student. It is to be noted that Ruchika’s body was found hanging inside the hostel room on Saturday. A suicide note was also recovered from the spot. In the handwritten suicide note, the first-year student of Plus Three Arts Stream alleged that she ended her life after being fed up with the harassment meted out at her by three of her senior girl students.
