Biswakarma Puja being celebrated across Odisha with religious fervour

Bhubaneswar: Denizens in the state dipped in festive fervour starting from the morning today as various industrial houses, offices and technical organisations worshipped Bishwakarma Puja with much devotion.

Known as the God of Architecture and Engineering, Lord Bishwakarma is being worshipped both inside the premises of offices and organisations as well as on the street pandals across Odisha by the devotees. The puja which brings a very special occasion to the technical and engineering establishments, witnessed staffs of these organisations taking a break from their hectic work schedule for the day to take part in religious activity.

Major industrial towns in Odisha including Nalco in Angul and Paradip in Jagatsinghpur wore a festive look today to mark the occasion.

While around 23 puja pendals have been set up in Nalco Nagar area this year the puja rituals of the divine architect has already started there. Famous for its gigantic gates and huge tableaus the Nalco Nagar would witness a number of cultural programs on the occasion of Biswakarma Puja this year.

With weather remaining mostly clear in Angul today the spirit of the devotees was seen knowing no bound in puja revelry.

In port city Paradip also, the Biswakarma Puja revelry remained at its pick since the morning today. With a number of cultural programs on schedule of various puja committees till the evening, grand and illuminating puja pandals with dazzling lights was telling the whole story about puja spirit prevailing in the city.

As per the information, around 40 puja pandals have been set up in the port city this year to celebrate Biswakarma Puja in a grand manner.
