Bikes collision in Boudh kills two, 2 critical

Boudh: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed while two others sustained critical injuries following a road accident in Odisha’s Boudh district today.

The road accident reportedly occurred near Dhanakhandi Chhak of the district after two bikes collided head-on with each other.

The deceased have been identified as Naveen Danta of Suliagaon and Soumya Ranjan Panigrahi of Kantamal in Sonepur district.

The deceased persons were returning home this morning after watching Makar Mela at Palasgara in Boudh district. In the meantime, two other bikers coming from opposite direction collided with them at Dhankhandi square.

Local police reached the spot after getting information about the accident and sent the bodies of Naveen Danta and Soumya Ranjan Panigrah, who died on the spot, for postmortem.

Cops also sent the injured persons to the hospital for treatment and initiated an investigation into the matter.
