Bargarh: The District Administration in Bargarh suspended 3 Engineers, including an Executive Engineer in connection with the under-construction bridge collapse in Bargarh district.
At least seven people were injured when the bridge on Jeera River near Jamdol under Bheden block of Bargarh district collapsed on Sunday.
The bridge was being constructed under Biju Setu Yojana by the Rural Development Department at an estimated budget of Rs 8.5 crore.
Bargarh Collector Khagendra Kumar Padhi has ordered a probe into the incident. The Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer in charge of the project, were suspended.
