Jharsuguda: Body of a 50-year-old truck driver was found under mysterious circumstances near Muchabahal under Belpahar police limits late last night. Police have sent the body for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death.
The deceased has been identified as Ashok Singh (50), a resident of Bihar who had moved to the area a month ago. Police said that the deceased used to drive the truck of a local businessman.
Eyewitnesses spotted the body near a petrol pump in the area with blood oozing out of his mouth. They immediately informed the police which rushed to the spot.
“We interrogated few people in the locality but no one claimed to have seen the deceased last night. We suspect the man of dying after being assaulted. Further investigation in the case is continuing,” said a police official.
