Bubaneswar: Flight services from Bhubaneswar to Varanasi will begin from February.
The air travel partner, IndiGo has received the required go ahead from the Director General of Civil Aviation.
The direct service, had been demanded since quite some time, as it would help connect 2 important religious tourism destinations.
Since both Bhubaneswar and Varanasi have a considerable tourist flow, air connectivity to these places would increase the revenue from tourism.
A sizable number of Buddhist tourist flow is expected. Air India discontinued its service on this route a few years back.
The departure time of the flight from Bhubaneswar will be 9:00pm and arrival at Varanasi will be at 11:55pm everyday starting on 29th Feb 2020
The flight will leave from Varanasi at 6:45pm and arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport at 8:40pm everyday.
A single way ticket would roughly cost around 3500 INR.
