Bhubaneswar reports a single Coronavirus case for 3rd consecutive day

Bhubaneswar: A single case of Coronavirus has been detected in Odisha’s capital city today. Bhubaneswar has recorded single positive case for the 3^rd consecutive day on May 16.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the positive case that was reported today was a local contact case. The positive case was reported in Patia area of Bhubaneswar.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,56,624. The recovered cases are 1,55,346. The total deceased cases are 1193. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 64. The recovered cases in BMC in last 24 hours are 1.

Odisha on Monday reported seven new Covid cases including two children, informed to the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department. The positive tally stands at 12,88,311.

Reportedly, out of the 7 patients, 5 persons are in quarantine while 2 are local contacts. The active cases in Odisha currently stand at 132.

Today, Ganjam and Sambalpur recorded the highest Covid cases with 2 positives followed by Balasore, Cuttack, and Khordha with one positive case each.\
