Bhubaneswar records 1208 Covid-19 positive cases today, recovered cases at 700
Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar records 1208 covid-19 positive cases on January 26. On the other hand, Cuttack city reported 225 new Covid-19 cases today. The rapidly rising Covid-19 positive cases in Twin City remain a concern for the administration.
According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 1208 positive cases registered today, 60 cases are quarantine cases while 1148 cases are local contact cases.
With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,46,955. The recovered cases are 1,34,911. The total number of deceased cases are 1114. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 10,909.
In the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC area) 225 new Covid-19 cases were registered. While 44 cases were Institutional quarantine cases, 57 cases were home quarantine cases. As many as 124 local contact cases were recorded today.
The total cases in CMC are 54,229 while the recovered cases are 51,097. Active cases today are 2703 while the deaths are 429.
The recovered cases in BMC and CMC on January 26 are 700 and 531 respectively.
Odisha reported 7,426 fresh cases of Covid in the last 24 hours including 867 in the 0-18 years age group, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Wednesday.
The new 7,426 positive cases include 1,959 cases from Khordha, followed by 778 from Sundergarh, 548 from Cuttack and 496 from Balasore have been detected in the last 24 hours.
Among the 7,426 positives, 4306 patients are in quarantine and 3120 are the local contacts. Currently, the active cases stand at 74,512.
