Bhubaneswar: Missing BTech students detained by Sambalpur Police for Jamtara link

Bhubaneswar: The four BTech students who went missing from the Tamando area of State Capital City on February 11 along with one of their friends have been detained by the Sambalpur police.

According to reports, Sambalpur police detained the BTech students and their friend after tracing them from the Ainthapali area suspecting their link with a Jamtara-based cyberfraud gang.

It is to be noted here that the Commissionerate Police had started to investigate by forming a special team after the family members and authorities of the college where the students were studying filed a complaint at Tamando Police station after they went missing.

According to police, a member of the Jamtara-based cyberfraud gang was reportedly staying with the BTech students, who are said to be from Jharkhand, while they were living in a room in Bhubaneswar. However, suspecting their link with the member, cops are now interrogating them.
