Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a woman leveled a serious allegation of rape against a man. She alleged that the accused raped her for seven months on the pretext of giving her a lead role in Odia albums.
As per the woman’s allegation, the accused, whom she identified as Milan Kahanra of Phulbani in Kandhamal district, reportedly brought her to Bhubaneswar from Phulbani on December 23, 2020 assuring her to provide a lead role in different Odia albums.
As the woman’s husband was in jail, Milan kept her in Sundarpada area of the State Capital city for seven months and raped her forcefully repeatedly. However, she managed to escape from him on July 23, 2021 and went to her native place.
But Milan kidnapped her on January 8, 2022 and kept her in Sambalpur for eight days. Finding no means, the lady now during her visit to Bhubaneswar filed a police complaint demanding action against the accused.
The victim also claimed that Milan has threatened to kill her and her son if she reports the matter to the police.
