Bhubaneswar: Man levels false allegation against father with an aim to send him to jail, gets arrested instead

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a man was arrested along with his associate for trying to get his father arrested by making a false allegation against him. Balianta Police in Bhubaneswar arrested the man today and identified him as Biswajit Das.

Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh, while speaking to the media persons, informed that Biswajit Das went to the Balianta Police Station and alleged before the cops that his father Surendra Kumar Das has a gun and has links with the criminals and criminal activities.

Based on Biswajit’s input, a team of cops from the Balianta Police Station and Special Squad Staff visited the house and carried out a search operation, during which a pistol was recovered from the vehicle, said the DCP adding that, however, Biswajit’s father clarified that his son (Biswajit) had used the vehicle.

When interrogated further, Biswajit confessed to have kept the country-made pistol in the vehicle with the aim to get his father (Surendra) arrested and send him to jail.

When asked about his motive behind plotting against his father, Biswajit claimed that his father was not supporting him financially despite repeated requests.

Meanwhile, cops arrested Biswajit and one of his associates for his involvement. They also seized one country-made pistol and two mobile phones from the possession of Biswajit and his associate.
