Bhubaneswar Hottest Place In Odisha At 41.7 Degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: The state capital recorded the highest temperature in the state for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, with the mercury soaring at 41.7 degree Celsius.

A release by the regional MeT department revealed that as many as six places in Odisha recorded a day temperature of 40 degrees and above yesterday. These places are– Angul (41.1), Sundargarh (40), Bhawanipatna (40), Titlagarh (41), Malkangiri (40.5) and Sonepur (40).

The temperature of other important towns which reeled under heat wave conditions is- Cuttack (39.4), Jharsuguda (38.6), Keonjhar (38.1), Sambalpur (39.2), Hirakud (38.2) and Balangir (39).

The MeT Department, however, predicted that the temperature will witness a slight fall across the State over the next few days.
