Bhubaneswar: In the case of the Bhubaneswar delivery boy kidnap, the victim who had allegedly been kidnapped on the outskirts of the capital city of Odisha on Saturday night, is yet to be traced out and rescued although 48 hours have passed.
As per reports, Swiggy’s delivery body Patitapabana Prusty, who had allegedly been kidnapped from Lingipur area of Bhubaneswar is yet to be rescued. Police have formed a special team for the rescue operation. His mobile phone CDR is being analysed.
It is to be noted that on Saturday at about 10 pm Prusty had reportedly sent a video message to his wife’s mobile where he asked to rescue him as he was being kidnapped.
In the message he was reportedly seen saying that some people snatched his mobile and cash money and tore his dresses. He was being kidnapped in a goods carrier Auto rickshaw (dala Auto) and was also stabbed.
Accordingly, his family members had lodged an FIR at Dhauli Police Station on Saturday.
Yesterday Police had seized a bag, money purse, and footwear of the victim from the bank of River Daya. A new knife had also been seized from the spot.
As per his family members Prusty had gone with Rs. 50,000 cash to buy some parts of vehicle. He was planning to start an Automobile workshop. Though it is yet to be ascertained the motive behind the alleged kidnap, his family members are suspecting that the kidnap was for loot. Police probe of the case is underway.
