Bhubaneswar: A gang of 10 robbers has been arrested by the Police Commissionerate for continuous thefts and robberies in several areas of the state’s capital city. The police also confiscated 3 mobile phones and one scooter from them.
The members of the gang were identified as Pintu Das (22), Rabindra Palei (22), T. Suresh (20), Ganesh Nayak (24), Sushant Dixit (30), Kanhu Nayak (24), Rahul Nouna (19), Shaikh Abu Akkar (21) and Shaikh Mustagin (21).
With several cases registered against them in various police stations, a special team under the command of DCP Pratik Singh was formed to take over the situation.
All the police stations in target were ordered to be raided. Night patrols in particular have been tightened with increased numbers of blocks and check-points.
