Bharat Bandh: Petrol pumps to remain open in Odisha, Check timings

Bhubaneswar: The petrol pumps across Odisha will remain open on the two days (March 28 and 29) during Bharat Bandh.

Reportedly, the petrol pumps were shut only in Bhubaneswar this morning to secure the premises from picketing while pumps remain open across Odisha.

However, all the petrol pumps will remain open in Bhubaneswar during the second half as the picketing will be over.

The petrol and diesel prices have continued to increase for the fourth consecutive day in Odisha’s capital city, Bhubaneswar on Monday. Today, the petrol price has been recorded at Rs 105.97 per litre while the diesel rate is recorded at Rs 95.88 per litre.

Notably, a joint forum of central trade unions has called for a 2-day nationwide strike on Monday and Tuesday (March 28 and March 29) to protest against Central government policies that are affecting the workers, farmers and people.

Some essential services are likely to be impact. This includes banking services, electricity, transportation and railways. The banks across the country will also remain shut on these days as All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) decided to join the strike.
