Bharat Bandh: Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal’s visit to Bhawanipatna cancelled

Kalahandi: In view of the ongoing ‘Bharat Bandh’ observation by Central Trade Unions across the country the scheduled Bhawanipatna visit of Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal has been cancelled.

Informing on the call off earlier in the day Kalahandi Collector said the step has been taken due to security concern arising out of the protests. The Governor had to attend an officials event, he added.

Notably, a total of 10 trade unions have evoked a mixed response in most states of the country, except parts of West Bengal, Kerala and Telangana. Congress has extended its support to the ‘bandh’.
