Berhampur: The Excise Inspector and Excise Bureau Unit of Berhampur in Ganjam district of Odisha has seized as much 930 kgs of Bhang on Monday.
According to the reports, the excise department has also seized one Mahindra Jeeto luggage Carrier bearing Reg.No.0D 07 T 6331 at Mohurikalia Chaka under Berhampur Sadar Police Station.
In this connection one accused person namely Premananda Gomanga a resident of village Balibada, PS Mohana of district Gajapati has been arrested.
The arrest has been executed by Sudarshan Bisoi, SI of Excise and staff of this unit.
The seized Bhang was said to be transported from Gajapati district to Khordha district.
The approximate value of seized Bhang is said to be Rs. 9,30,000/(Rupees nine lakhs thirty thousand) on.
