Bhadrak: Section 144 imposed in Baba Akhandalamani Pitha in Aradi for Kartika Purnima

Bhadrak: Keeping in view the large number of footfall of devotees to the temple during Kartika Purnima, section 144 has been imposed in the famous Baba Akhandalamani Pitha, in Aradi in Bhadrak district of Odisha.

The enforcement began at 8 am on Thursday to continue till 8 pm of Friday. The district administration said that during this time devotees will not be allowed in the temple for darshan while the daily rituals will be carried on by the priests.

It has also been reported that restrictions have been imposed on floating of miniature boats in the nearby Shibaganga tank in Aredi on the Kartika Purnima day.

Also, devotees have been restricted from witnessing the famous Haragouri attire (besha) of Lord Akhandalamani. Hence, in nutshell, devotees will be kept away from darshan of the deity at this famous temple till Saturday. The restrictions have been imposed to check spread of Coronavirus.

It is to be noted that the Covid pandemic has played havoc in Odisha claiming several lives while the pandemic is yet to be completely end.
