Bhadrak: Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) of the district Gitanjali Patnaik was arrested by Vigilance officials on charges of bribery on Saturday .
Acting on a tip-off, the anti- corruption team laid a trap and caught Patnaik red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 8000 to pass bill of a security agency.
According to reports, the CDMO had demanded the money from Rashmi Ranjan Dash, Supervisor of Sarada Security Facility Agency, deployed at the District Headquarters Hospital.
Gitanjali Patnaik had demanded the cash to pass the bill of the security agency for the month of October, sources said.
