Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar DCP Uma Shankar Dash has warned the mobile phone repairing shop owners saying that they would be arrested if found repairing any stolen mobile phone.
While briefing the media persons about the street crimes of the State Capital City, Dash appealed to the mobile phone repairing shop owners not to entertain anyone for repairing any snatched cell phone or change its password. He also advised them to keep the data of the people who come to them with such stolen phones.
The mobile phone repairing shop owners will be arrested if they are caught while repairing such stolen mobile phones, said Bhubaneswar DCP.
This apart, the Commisionerate Police issued a WhatsApp number 7077798111 for the residents of Bhubaneswar City urging them to report street crimes including snatching, harassment, and eve-teasing.
