Khurda: Beware, people of Khurda district. The district administration has decided to make mask checking stricter in view of the Omicron Variant threat.
District collector Sangram Kumar Mahapatra said that checking of masks will be done very strictly as part of preparedness for the COVID-19 variant, Omicron threat.
Mahapatra also directed the concerned officials to collect penalties from the people who do not wear masks.
This apart he ordered to strictly follow the night curfew rules and asked the shop owners to shut their business establishments by 10 PM.
He also urged the people to follow guidelines like maintaining social distancing in public places and washing/sanitizing hands to avoid spreading COVID-19.
