Bhubaneswar: At least 15 tourists were injured after being attacked by honey bees inside Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Honey bees from a beehive on a tree near an enclosure inside the premises of the zoo reportedly started attacking the visitors all of a sudden this afternoon. This left as many as 15 tourists injured, said sources.
On being informed, some guides, security personnel and authorities of the Zoological Park soon rushed to the spot and escorted the visitors to safe places.
The injured were admitted by the Zoo authorities to the hospital for treatment, added the sources.
