Nabarangpur: A bear reportedly mauled a man to death in odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Tuesda
The deceased has been identified as Vijayadan Khara of Nilamundiguda village under Tentulikhunti block in the district.
According to reports, Khara had taken his cattle to a forest near his village for grazing in the morning when a bear attacked him.
Later in the day, Khara was found lying in a pool of blood by some villagers, who rescued him and rushed to Tentulikhunti hospital. He was later shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital here as his condition was deteriorated. However, he succumbed to injury while undergoing treatment.
Hospital sources said injury marks suggested that Khara was killed in a bear attack.
The body of the man was handed over to family members after a post-mortem examination and further investigation was underway, police said.
