Baragarh: Normal life has been thrown out of gear today in Bargarh town post a bandh call given by Ekta Manch, a local outfit demanding upgradation of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) into City Hospital.
The bandh which continued since yesterday witnessed complete closure of shops and other business establishments in the town.
Vehicular movement was disrupted also during the protest posing a tough time for commuters.
Notably, a clash erupted between police and the agitators yesterday as the later resorted to stone-pelting during picketing. Later the mob was pacified.
The Manch is demanding immediate set up of the City Hospital for the benefit of locals and protesting the relocation of the DHH to a place around 10 km far from the previous location.
