Sonepur: In an unfortunate incident, as many as two persons have been killed after a barati vehicle, in which they were traveling, rammed into a roadside tree near Badkarle village under Rampur police limits in Dunguripali block of Sonepur district late on Sunday night.
The deceased people have been identified as Biranchi Mallick of Malipali village and Jitendra Bag of Grindola village. while 13 others were injured
Reportedly, around 15 people were returning to Khaliapali village in Sonepur after attending a wedding at Ganthiapali village in Bargarh.
However, the driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle rammed into a roadside tree. As a result, Biranchi and Jitendra lost their lives on the spot.
All the injured persons were rescued and admitted to Dunguripali Community Health Centre (CHC).
On getting information, Rampur police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation into the matter.
