Balasore: Acting on the allegation of a disproportionate assets case against Balasore Regional Trasport Officer (RTO) Amaresh Kumar Patra, Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raid at eight places associated to him.
According to reports, a ten-member team, led by the Vigilance DSP Mangulu Kujur, was conducting the searches in eight places including Patra’s rented house and RTO office in Balasore, flat at Madhusudhan Nagar in Bhubaneswar, parental house at Rampei in Kendrapara, father-in-law’s house at Kuleilo in Khuntini, house of brother-in-law at in Kalinga Chowk, Choudwar, Saraswata filling station in Choudwar and Odiene hotel at Khuntini.
The RTO is being brought by the anti-corruption team to Balasore from Cuttack to open his house here.
The total amount of his asset was yet to be estimated as the raid was still on till the news was filed.
