Balasore Police nabs wanted criminal Papa Panda from West Bengal

Balasore: In a success to Balasore police in the three-year-old murder case of wanted criminal Sushant Das alias ‘Khasua’, it nabbed the main accused ‘Papa’ from the neighbouring West Bengal last night.

As per the report, a special team of Balasore Police manage to nab Papa alias Chinmay Panda after conducting multiple raids in the neighbouring state.

Notably, Papa and his gang members had attacked Khasua near Shobharampur area in the district on June 22, 2016 over past enmity. They had killed the victim by stabbing him with broken soft drink bottles and crushing with stones.

While cases against a total of 25 persons had been lodged at Sahadevkhunta Police Station in connection with the murder, 14 among them were held subsequently.

Police had released ‘wanted’ posters against Papa at a later stage as he remained at large along with his aides since the killing.
