Balasore Missing Jewellery Owner Rescued From Bhubaneswar

Balasore: The Balasore jewellery shop owner, who had been kidnapped on Thursday, has been rescued from Bhubaneswar on Friday night.

According to reports, Prahallad Behera is  the owner of a jewellery shop, ‘Subham Jewellers’ situated in Belada Square.

On Thursday, a man identified as Sumanta Mallick has called Prahallad to Dandaharipur on the pretext of buying gold.

Prahalad took his bike with 50 gms worth gold jewellery. When he did not returned back home till late night, his parents and relatives tried to contact him but in vain.

Unable to trace him after searching everywhere, family members lodged a complaint at Soro Police Station at late Thursday night suspecting that he has been kidnapped.

The cops launched a search operation to trace Prahallad, the kidnappers left him in Bhubaneswar and fled. On getting the information from reliable sources, Prahallad was rescued and brought to Soro Police Station.

The four accused people involved in the kidnapping are from Nilgiri and Balasore, said sources.
