Balasore : Vigilance sleuths on Thursday searched the residences and office of Manoranjan Barik, Headmaster of Haraprasad Nodal High School in Panchupali under Baliapala block in the district in Odisha on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Vigilance officials conducted simultaneous searches at six different places including Barik’s paternal house at Khantapada Bazaar, his in-laws’ house in Seragarh, Angargadia, Manda and his office in Panchupali.
However, Barik claimed that the vigilance raids on his houses were a conspiracy by some locals.
The total estimation of assets disproportionate to Barik’s known sources of income are yet to be unearthed as vigilance raids were underway, till the report was filed.
