Balangir: Tightening the noose around the necks of corrupt officials in the district, Vigilance Department sleuths today raided the residence and office of an Assistant Executive Engineer in Patnagarh of Balangir district on charge of possessing disproportionate asset.
As per the report, a team of anti-corruption bureau officials carried out simultaneous raids against the accused engineer Kishore Chandra Patra of Public Works Department (PWD) at four places this morning. Separate teams of officials conducted a search at Patra’s residence in Patnagarh, office along with houses of his two brothers.
During the raid, the officials examined bank passbooks, land records and several other valuable documents.
While the raid is currently underway the exact amount of seized disproportionate asset will be disclosed once it gets completed, said an official.
