Balangir: Tightening the noose around the necks of corrupt officials in the district, Excise officials in Balangir conducted multiple raids at houses and office of an Excise Department Clerk today for amassing disproportionate assets (DA).
Sleuths of Balangir Excise unit initiated the action this morning and examined various documents possessed by Senior Clerk Trinath Sethi by conducting raids at his residence and office along with in-laws’ house.
Simultaneous raids were also conducted at the parental house of Sethi located in Nuapada and his wife’s office who works in Wesco at a later stage, says reports.
While the anti-corruption wing officials are yet to disclose the exact amount of disproportionate asset seized during the raid, they said it would be made public once the search drive is finished.
