Bahuda Yatra : Return journey of Lord Jagannath, siblings 

Puri: Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will return to the Lions’ Gate of Srimandir from Srigundicha temple today on the occasion of Bahuda Yatra.

Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be offered the Bahuda rituals before the Yatra following which general darshan for devotees will be restricted for the devotees.

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) said, the rituals of  ‘Mangalarpana’ will be held by 11. 45 AM today, while ‘Pahandi Bije’ will begin from 12 Noon till 2. 30 PM. ‘Chhera Panhara’ will be conducted by 3 PM and chariot pulling will begin at 4 PM.

During the return journey, the three chariots- Nandighosa, Darpadalan and Taladhwaj stop for a while at the Mausima Temple, also known as Ardhasani Temple.

On July 4, the deities had reached Srigundicha temple for a nine-day sojourn on the occasion of Rath Yatra.

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the Puri district administration have made adequate arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of Bahuda Yatra.

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has also announced to ply special trains to Puri in view of the Bahuda Yatra.
