Puri: The auspicious Bahuda Yatra 2021 was celebrated in Puri of Odisha as the three chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra were pulled up to the Mausima Temple, where Chaturdhamurti take a small halt on the way to Shree Mandir, Singhdwara.
Rath Yatra is a world-famous festival when lakhs of devotees flock to witness this holy sight. However, this time just like the previous year no devotees were allowed to participate during the rituals due to coronavirus. Both the Rath Yatra and Bahuda Yatra was telecasted on TV and devotees got the opportunity to watch them live.
At Mausima Temple the deities were offered their favourite dish ‘Poda Pitha’, which is a delicious sweet dish prepared from flour, ghee, jaggery, dry fruits and coconut that is served on the day of Bahuda Yatra.
