Athgarh town in Odisha’s Cuttack Dist declared containment zone after 6 detected COVID positive

Cuttack: Athgarh Town under Athgarh NAC in Cuttack district of Odisha was declared as a containment zone from 2 pm of June 30 to 6 am of July 3. The order was issued after six personnel including a sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) were tested positive for Covid.

Earlier, the IIC of Badamba police station had been tested positive for Covid-19.  The newly found six cases include Athagarh SDPO, his driver, two sub-inspectors and two assistant sub inspectors of Badamba police station.

Here are the details of the containment zone in Athgarh. The limits of containment zone is – In the East, all the connecting approach roads to SH 65, in West, Birakishorepur to Dorada Chhak, in North Chandabali Chhak to Barabati Hotel, Kantol, and in South Chandabali Chhak to Kaitha Chhak, Dhaipur, Chandbali chhak to Radhaballavpur.

In the containment zone all the vehicular and personal movement in and out of the said area have been stopped till further orders.

All the government and private institutions within the said area shall remain closed.

Earlier on Sunday the District administration had declared Badamba town as containment zone for 72 hours after the IIC of local police station and SBI cashier tested corona positive. Badamba police station had also been sealed.
