Keonjhar: The Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday arrested an Assistant Block Education Officer of Anandpur, Keonjhar Abhimanyu Sahu for demanding & accepting bribe.
He was demanding & accepting undue advantage (bribe) of Rs.10,000 from the one complainant Somanath Ram who is working as Head Master in Panasadeha U.P. School of Anandapur Block in order to drop his proceedings.
Ram complained the matter to the vigilance and the officials laid a trap to nab Sahu red handed. On Wednesday, Ram went to Sahu to pay him bribe where he was caught red handed by the Vigilance.
The tainted bribe money has been recovered and seized from the the accused. The residential house of the accused is being searched on DA angle.
Later the Balasore vigilance registers a case and has started a probe into the matter.
