Sambalpur: Odisha’s Arpita Behera has brought laurels for both the state and country by winning the Little Miss Galaxy World-2018 title, an international talent and beauty pageant in Bulgaria recently.
Arpita, a native of Sambalpur, was crowned the Little Miss Galaxy World-2018 with her outstanding performance in category of 12 and 14 years age group.
Behera said that she became the winner of the international beauty pageant only because her father Rajesh Behera, a businessman, and mother Binapani Behera, a teacher, who have supported her in all possible ways.
Arpita had earlier won the Little Miss Sambalpur title in 2012 and Little Miss Bengaluru in 2017. She considers Bollywood actresses Sushmita Sen (Miss Universe-1994) and Priyanka Chopra (Miss World-2000) as her inspirations.
Arpita, a class VII student at Sambalpur-based Saint Joseph Convent School has the aim to participate and win the Miss India and Miss Universe titles in future.
