Around 70 rooms gutted in major fire in Odisha village
Angul: Nearly 70 rooms turned to ashes in a major fire that broke out at Bhogara Kisansahi village under Athamalik block of the district today.
Though no causality was reported till the filing of this report, property worth lakhs of rupees were allegedly gutted in the fire. As many as 40 families have been reportedly left homeless due to the inferno.
While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained sources said that the blaze broke out due to a short-circuit.
Firefighters from Angul and Athmallick rushed to the village after getting information and took control of the flare.
Sub-Collector, local Tehsildar along with a team of police also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
