Armed miscreants enjoying on road in Bhubaneswar: 3 arrested after video becomes viral

Bhubaneswar: Acting on the viral video which purportedly showed some armed miscreants enjoying on a road in Bhubaneswar, the Twin City Commissionerate of Police on Saturday arrested three persons for their involvement in the case.

According to reports, some miscreants were seen making marry on the main road of Bhubaneswar by brandishing guns and swords without any fear of the city police.

However, the Commissionerate of Police soon started an investigation into the matter after a video of the incident surfaced on the internet on October 21. They arrested three persons and are in search of others who were present at the spot.

On the other hand, the Khandagiri police arrested a 20-year-old youth today on charges of stealing a firearm and seized a stolen licenced pistol and ammunition from him.

The accused has been identified as Rahul Jena, a resident of Tapobana Basti under Khandagiri police limits.

Police said that the stolen licenced pistol belongs to one Sambit Padhi (38) of BJB Nagar.

According to reports, Jena also had shared a picture of the stolen pistol on social media with an aim to terrorize the people leaving around him.

Jena wanted to become a gangster and he had asked the slum dwellers to call him ‘bhai,’ said sources.
