Anukreethy Vas crowned Femina Miss India 2018

Mumbai: Anukreethy Vas of Tamil Nadu was crowned Femina Miss India-2018 at a glittering ceremony here on Tuesday.

Meenakshi Chaudhary from Haryana and Shreya Rao Kamavarapu from Andhra Pradesh were declared as the first and second runners-up respectively.

On the other hand, Bhubaneswar girl Shrutiksha Nayak who bagged the Femina Miss India Odisha-2018 title finished at 12th place in the grand finale.

Anukreethy Vas (19), who is currently pursuing Bachelor of Arts in French at Chennai’s Loyola College, beat 30 contestants to bag the top honour.

The judge panel included Miss World-2017 Manushi Chhillar, cricketers Irfan Pathan and KL Rahul and Bollywood actors like Malaika Arora, Bobby Deol and Kunal Kapoor.

Anukreethy Vas will now represent India at Miss World-2018 while the two runners-up will represent the country at Miss Grand International-2018 and Miss United Continents-2018 respectively.
