Bhubaneswar: Another Low Pressure Area is very likely to form over north Andaman Sea around October 10. It is likely to become more marked and move west-northwestwards towards south Odisha and north coastal Andhra Pradesh coast during subsequent 4-5 days, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today.

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, it is likely to cross the coast around October 15, the system may approach Visakhapatnam-Kakinada coasts, as per the ECMWF model.

If the system intensifies into a cyclonic storm, it will be named as Cyclone Jawad.

Models are indicating development of a fresh low pressure area (LPA) during first half of week 2 (October 8-14) over west central and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal and another LPA over east central Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea during later part of week 2,” the IMD had said.
