Cuttack: In a tragic turn of events, the two children who had sustained critical burn injury in a house fire in Shabalabhanga village in Odisha’s Angul district yesterday, succumbed under treatment in SCB Medical here this morning.
As per the hospital sources, the duo lost the battle of life due to a burn injury over 90 per cent.
Informing on the health condition of the mother of the children duo, the doctors informed that she still remains critical.
Notably, the victim woman Bachani Behera along with her two sons were burnt critically while sleeping inside their house in the village in the wee hours of Monday under mysterious conditions. Later, Bachani’s family members thrashed her husband severely for suspecting his involvement in causing fire.
All the injured were first taken to Angul DHH and the mother-son trio were later shifted to SCB Medical.
