Angul: The forest department of Odisha’s Angul district has launched a free mobile app – “Angul Bana Sathi”- to prevent animal-human conflict in the area.
The app was launched at the local Odisha Forest Rangers’ College here on Saturday. The app, which can be downloaded from Google playstore, is functional in Angul, Banarpal, Talcher, Kaniha, Chendipada blocks of the district.
Forest department officials said that this app will help residents of the district by warning them of approaching jumbos.
People can pass information about other wild animals as well as illegal activities going on in forests, directly by dialing toll free number -18003155555.
